Yaram'Yahu (Jeremiah) — 43

Yaramyahu Taken to Mitzraym

When Yaramyahu had stopped giving the people of Yashar'AL the message from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH their  𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH

Azaryahu son of Hushayahu and Yuhanan son of Karaah and all the other proud men said to Yaramyahu, “You lie! 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH our 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH has not forbidden us to go to Mitzraym!

Baruch son of Naryahu has convinced you to say this, because he wants us to stay here and be killed by the Babylunians or be carried off into exile.”

So Yuhanan and the other guerrilla leaders and all the people refused to obey 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s command to stay in Yahudah.

Yuhanan and the other leaders took with them all the people who had returned from the nearby countries to which they had fled.

In the crowd were men, women, and children, the king’s daughters, and all those whom Nabuzaradan, the captain of the guard, had left with Gadalyahu, the Nabym Yaramyahu and Baruch were also included.

The people refused to obey the voice of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH and went to Mitzraym, going as far as the city of Tahpanhas.

Then at Tahpanhas, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH gave another message to Yaramyahu. He said,

“While the people of Yahudah are watching, take some large rocks and bury them under the pavement stones at the entrance of Phar'uh’s palace here in Tahpanhas.

Then say to the people of Yahudah, ‘This is what 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH Tsaba'ut the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Yashar'AL Dabar: I will certainly bring my servant Nabuchadnazzar, king of Babylun, here to Mitzraym, I will set his throne over these stones that I have hidden. He will spread his royal canopy over them.

And when he comes, he will destroy the land of Mitzraym, he will bring death to those destined for death, captivity to those destined for captivity, and war to those destined for war.

He will set fire to the temples of Mitzraym’s idols; he will burn the temples and carry the idols away as plunder. He will pick clean the land of Mitzraym as a shepherd picks fleas from his cloak, and he himself will leave unharmed.

He will break down the sacred pillars standing in the temple of the sun in Mitzraym, and he will burn down the temples of Mitzraym’s idols.
