Shalumah’s Additional Achievements

It came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Shalumah had built the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH and his own house,

that the cities which Hiram had given to Shalumah, King Shalumah built them; and he settled the children of Yashar'AL there.

And Shalumah went to Hamath Zubah and seized it.

He also built Tadmur in the wilderness, and all the storage cities which he built in Hamath.

He built Upper Bath Hurun and Lower Bath Hurun, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars,

also Baalath and all the storage cities that Shalumah had, and all the chariot cities and the cities of the cavalry, and all that Shalumah desired to build in Yahushalam, in Labanun, and in all the land of his dominion.

All the people who were left of the Hittites, Amurites, Parizzites, Hibites, and Yabusites, who were not of Yashar'AL

that is, their descendants who were left in the land after them, whom the children of Yashar'AL did not destroy from these Shalumah raised forced labor, as it is to this day.

But Shalumah did not make the children of Yashar'AL servants for his work. Some were men of war, captains of his officers, captains of his chariots, and his cavalry.

10 And others were chiefs of the officials of King Shalumah: two hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people.

11 Now Shalumah brought the daughter of Phar'uh up from the City of Daud to the house he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of Daud king of Yashar'AL, because the place to which the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH has come are Qadash.”

12 Then Shalumah offered burnt offerings to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH on the altar of  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH which he had built before the vestibule,

13 according to the daily rate, offering according to the commandment of Musha, for the Shabbats, the New Moons, and the three appointed yearly feasts, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles.

14 And, according to the order of Daud his father, he appointed the divisions of the Kuhanym for their service, the Lauym for their duties (to Yadah and serve before the Kuhanym) as the duty of each day required, and the gatekeepers by their divisions at each gate; for so Daud the servant of   𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had commanded.

15 They did not depart from the command of the king to the Kuhanym and Lauym concerning any matter or concerning the treasuries.

16 Now all the work of Shalumah was well-ordered from the day of the foundation of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH until it was finished. So the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH was completed.

17 Then Shalumah went to Aziun Gaabar and Alath on the seacoast, in the land of Adum.

18 And Hiram sent him on ships by the hand of his servants, and servants who knew the sea. They went with the servants of Shalumah to Uphir and acquired four hundred and fifty talents of gold from there, and brought it to King Shalumah.
