The Family of Lauy
1 The sons of Lauy were Garshun, Kuhath, and Marari.
2 The sons of Kuhath were Amram, Izhar, Habrun, and Uzzyahu.
3 The children of Amram were Aarun, Musha, and Miriam. And the sons of Aarun were Nadab, Abihu, Alaazar, and Ithamar.
4 Alaazar begot Phinahas, and Phinahas begot Abishua;
5 Abishua begot Bukki, and Bukki begot Uzzi;
6 Uzzi begot Zarahyahu, and Zarahyahu begot Maraiuth;
7 Maraiuth begot Amaryahu, and Amaryahu begot Ahitub;
8 Ahitub begot Zaduk, and Zaduk begot Ahimaaz;
9 Ahimaaz begot Azaryahu, and Azaryahu begot Yuhanan;
10 Yuhanan begot Azaryahu (it was he who ministered as Kuhan in the temple that Shalumah built in Yahushalam);
11 Azaryahu begot Amaryahu, and Amaryahu begot Ahitub;
12 Ahitub begot Zaduk, and Zaduk begot Shallum;
13 Shallum begot Hilkyahu, and Hilkyahu begot Azaryahu;
14 Azaryahu begot Sarayahu, and Sarayahu begot Yahuzadak.
15 Yahuzadak went into captivity when 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH carried Yahudah and Yahushalam into captivity by the hand of Nabuchadnazzar.
16 The sons of Lauy were Garshun, Kuhath, and Marari.
17 These are the names of the sons of Garshun: Libni and Shimai.
18 The sons of Kuhath were Amram, Izhar, Hebrun, and Uzzial.
19 The sons of Marari were Mahli and Mushi. Now these are the families of the Lauym according to their fathers:
20 Of Garshun were Libni his son, Yahath his son, Zimmah his son,
21 Yuah his son, Iddu his son, Zarah his son, and Yaatherai his son.
22 The sons of Kuhath were Amminadab his son, Kurah his son, Assir his son,
23 Alkanah his son, Abiasaph his son, Assir his son,
24 Tahath his son, Urial his son, Uzzyahu his son, and Shaul his son.
25 The sons of Alkanah were Amasai and Ahimuth.
26 As for Alkanah, the sons of Alkanah were Zuphai his son, Nahath his son,
27 Aliab his son, Yaruham his son, and Alkanah his son.
28 The sons of Samual were Yual the firstborn, and Abiyahu the second.
29 The sons of Merari were Mahli, Libni his son, Shimai his son, Uzzah his son,
30 Shimaa his son, Haggyahu his son, and Asayahu his son.
Musicians in the House of YAHUAH
31 Now these are the men whom Daud appointed over the service of song in the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, after the ark came to rest.
32 They were ministering with music before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of meeting, until Shalumah had built the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH in Yahushalam, and they served in their office according to their order.
33 And these are the ones who ministered with their sons: Of the sons of the Kuhathites were Haman the singer, the son of Yual, the son of Shamu'AL,
34 the son of Alkanah, the son of Yaruham, the son of Alial, the son of Tuah,
35 the son of Zuph, the son of Alkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,
36 the son of Alkanah, the son of Yual, the son of Azaryahu, the son of Zaphanyahu,
37 the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Kurah,
38 the son of Izhar, the son of Kuhath, the son of Lauy, the son of Yashar'AL.
39 And his brother Asaph, who stood at his right hand, was Asaph the son of Barachyahu, the son of Shimaa,
40 the son of Michaal, the son of Baasayahu, the son of Malchiyahu,
41 the son of Athni, the son of Zarah, the son of Adayahu,
42 the son of Athan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimai,
43 the son of Yahath, the son of Garshun, the son of Lauy.
44 Their brethren, the sons of Marari, on the left hand, were Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,
45 the son of Hashabyahu, the son of Amazyahu, the son of Hilkyahu,
46 the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shamar,
47 the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Marari, the son of Lauy.
48 And their brethren, the Lauym, were appointed to every kind of service of the tabernacle of the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH.
The Family of Aarun
49 But Aarun and his sons offered sacrifices on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the Most Qadash Place, and to make atonement for Yashar'AL, according to all that Musha the servant of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had commanded.
50 Now these are the sons of Aarun: Alaazar his son, Phinahas his son, Abishua his son,
51 Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zarahyahu his son,
52 Maraiuth his son, Amaryahu his son, Ahitub his son,
53 Zaduk his son, and Ahimaaz his son.
Dwelling Places of the Lauym
54 Now these are their dwelling places throughout their settlements in their territory, for they were given by lot to the sons of Aarun, of the family of the Kuhathites:
55 They gave them Habrun in the land of Yahudah, with its surrounding common-lands.
56 But the fields of the city and its villages they gave to Calab the son of Yaphunnah.
57 And to the sons of Aarun they gave one of the cities of refuge, Habrun; also Libnah with its common-lands, Yattir, Ashtemua with its common-lands,
58 Hilan with its common-lands, Dabir with its common-lands,
59 Ashan with its common-lands, and Bath Shamash with its common-lands.
60 And from the tribe of Banyamin: Gaba with its common-lands, Alamath with its common-lands, and Anathuth with its common-lands. All their cities among their families were thirteen.
61 To the rest of the family of the tribe of the Kuhathites they gave by lot ten cities from half the tribe of Manassah.
62 And to the sons of Garshun, throughout their families, they gave thirteen cities from the tribe of Issachar, from the tribe of Ashar, from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the tribe of Manassah in Bashan.
63 To the sons of Marari, throughout their families, they gave twelve cities from the tribe of Rauban, from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zabulun.
64 So the children of Yashar'AL gave these cities with their common-lands to the Lauym.
65 And they gave by lot from the tribe of the children of Yahudah, from the tribe of the children of Simaun, and from the tribe of the children of Banyamin these cities which are called by their names.
66 Now some of the families of the sons of Kuhath were given cities as their territory from the tribe of Aphraim.
67 And they gave them one of the cities of refuge, Shacham with its common-lands, in the mountains of Aphraim, also Gazar with its common-lands,
68 Yukmaam with its common-lands, Bath Hurun with its common-lands,
69 Aiyalun with its common-lands, and Gath Rimmun with its common-lands.
70 And from the half-tribe of Manassah: Anar with its common-lands and Bilaam with its common-lands, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kuhath.
71 From the family of the half-tribe of Manassah the sons of Garshun were given Gulan in Bashan with its common-lands and Ashtaruth with its common-lands.
72 And from the tribe of Issachar: Kadash with its common-lands, Dabarath with its common-lands,
73 Ramuth with its common-lands, and Anam with its common-lands.
74 And from the tribe of Ashar: Mashal with its common-lands, Abdun with its common-lands,
75 Hukuk with its common-lands, and Rahub with its common-lands.
76 And from the tribe of Naphtali: Kadash in Galily with its common-lands, Hammun with its common-lands, and Kiryathaim with its common-lands.
77 From the tribe of Zabulun the rest of the children of Marari were given Rimmun with its common-lands and Tabur with its common-lands.
78 And on the other side of the Yurdan, across from Yarichu, on the east side of the Yurdan, they were given from the tribe of Rauban: Bazar in the wilderness with its common-lands, Yahzah with its common-lands,
79 Kadamuth with its common-lands, and Maphaath with its common-lands.
80 And from the tribe of Gad: Ramuth in Gilaad with its common-lands, Mahanaim with its common-lands,
81 Hashbun with its common-lands, and Yazar with its common-lands.
