1st Shamu'AL (1 Samuel) — 3

YAHUAH Dabar to Shamu'AL 

1 Meanwhile, the boy Shamu'AL served  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH by assisting Ali the Kuhan. Now in those days messages from  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH were very rare, and visions were quite uncommon.

2 One night Ali, who was almost blind by now, had gone to bed. 

3 The lamp of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had not yet gone out, and Shamu'AL was sleeping in the Tabernacle near the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH. 

4 Suddenly 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH called out, Shamu'AL! Yes?” Shamu'AL replied. “What is it?” 

5 He got up and ran to Ali. “Here I am. Did you call me? “I did not call you,” Ali replied. “Go back to bed.” So Shamu'AL went back to bed.

6 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH called out again, Shamu'AL!” Again Shamu'AL got up and went to Ali. “Here I am. Did you call me?” I did not call you, my son,” Ali said. “Go back to bed.”

7 Shamu'AL did not yet know 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH  because he had never had a message from  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH before. 

8 So 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH called a third time, and once more Shamu'AL got up and went to Ali. “Here I am. Did you call me? Then Ali realized it was 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH who was calling the boy. 

9 So Ali the Kuhan said to Shamu'AL, “Go and lie down again, and if someone calls again, say, ‘Speak to me 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, your servant is listening.’” So Shamu'AL went back to bed.

10 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH came and called as before, Shamu'AL! Shamu'AL!” and Shamu'AL replied, “Speak to me, your servant is listening.”

11 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH Dabar to Shamu'AL, I am about to do a shocking thing in Yashar'AL. 

12 I am going to carry out all my threats against Ali and his family, from beginning to end. 

13 I have warned him that judgment is coming upon his family forever, because his sons are blaspheming the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Yashar'AL and he has not disciplined them. 

14 So I have vowed that the sins of Ali and his sons will never be forgiven by sacrifices or offerings.”

Shamu'AL Speaks for YAHUAH

15 Shamu'AL stayed in bed until morning, then got up and opened the doors of the Tabernacle as usual, he was afraid to tell Ali what 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had said to him. 

16 But Ali called out to him, Shamu'AL, my son.” Here I am,” Shamu'AL replied.

17 “What did 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH say to you? Tell me everything, and may the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of Yashar'AL strike you and even kill you if you hide anything from me!” 

18 So Shamu'AL told Ali everything; he didn’t hold anything back. “It is the Will of  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH,” Ali replied. “Let Him do what he thinks best.”

19 As Shamu'AL grew up, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH was with him, and everything Shamu'AL said proved to be reliable. 

20 And all Yashar'AL, from Dan in the north to Baarshaba in the south, knew that Shamu'AL was confirmed as a Nabym of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH

21 Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH continued to appear at Shiluh and gave messages to Shamu'AL there at the Tabernacle.
