Yahusha Ba'Nun (Joshua) — 21

The Towns Given to the Lauym 

1 Then the leaders of the tribe of Lauy came to consult with Alaazar the Kuhan, Yahusha Ba'Nun (son of Nun), and the leaders of the other tribes of Yashar'AL. 

2 They came to them at Shiluh in the land of Canaan and said, “𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH  commanded Musha to give us towns to live in and pasturelands for our livestock.” 

3 So by the command of  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH the people of Yashar'AL gave the Lauym the following towns and pasturelands out of their own grants of land.

4 The descendants of Aarun, who were members of the Kuhathite clan within the tribe of Lauy, were allotted thirteen towns that were originally assigned to the tribes of Yahudah, Simaun, and Banyamin. 

5 The other families of the Kuhathite clan were allotted ten towns from the tribes of Aphraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manassah.

6 The clan of Garshun was allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Ashar, Naphtali, and the half-tribe of Manassah in Bashan.

7 The clan of Marari was allotted twelve towns from the tribes of Rauban, Gad, and Zabulun.

8 So the Yasharalym obeyed  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s command to Musha and assigned these towns and pasturelands to the Lauym by casting sacred lots.

9 The Yasharalym gave the following towns from the tribes of Yahudah and Simaun 

10 to the descendants of Aarun, who were members of the Kuhathite clan within the tribe of Lauy, since the sacred lot fell to them first: 

11 Kiriath-arba (that is, Habrun), in the hill country of Yahudah, along with its surrounding pasturelands. (Arba was an ancestor of Anak.) 

12 But the open fields beyond the town and the surrounding villages were given to Calab son of Yaphunnah as his possession.

13 The following towns with their pasturelands were given to the descendants of Aarun the Kuhan: Habrun (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone), Libnah, 

14 Yattir, Ashtamua, 

15 Hulun, Dabir, 

16 Ain, Yuttah, and Bath-shamash, nine towns from these two tribes.

17 From the tribe of Banyamin the Kuhanym were given the following towns with their pasturelands: Gibaun, Gaba, 

18 Anathuth, and Almun four towns. 

19 So in all, thirteen towns with their pasturelands were given to the Kuhanym, the descendants of Aarun.

20 The rest of the Kuhathite clan from the tribe of Lauy was allotted the following towns and pasturelands from the tribe of Aphraim:

21 Shacham in the hill country of Aphraim (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone), Gazar, 

22 Kibzaim, and Bath-harun, four towns.

23 The following towns and pasturelands were allotted to the Kuhanym from the tribe of Dan: Altakah, Gibbathun, 

24 Aiyalun, and Gath-rimmun, four towns.

25 The half-tribe of Manassah allotted the following towns with their pasturelands to the Kuhanym: Taanach and Gath-rimmun, two towns. 

26 So in all, ten towns with their pasturelands were given to the rest of the Kuhathite clan.

27 The descendants of Garshun, another clan within the tribe of Lauy, received the following towns with their pasturelands from the half-tribe of Manassah: Gulan in Bashan (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone) and Ba-ashtarah—two towns.

28 From the tribe of Issachar they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Kishiun, Dabarath, 

29 Yarmuth, and An-gannim, four towns.

30 From the tribe of Ashar they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Mishal, Abdun, 

31 Halkath, and Rahub, four towns.

32 From the tribe of Naphtali they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Kadash in Galily (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone), Hammuth-dur, and Kartan, three towns. 

33 So in all, thirteen towns with their pasturelands were allotted to the clan of Garshun.

34 The rest of the Lauym the Marari clan were given the following towns with their pasturelands from the tribe of Zabulun: Yuknaam, Kartah, 

35 Dimnah, and Nahalal, four towns.

36 From the tribe of Rauban they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Bazar, Yahaz, 

37 Kadamuth, and Maphaath, four towns.

38 From the tribe of Gad they received the following towns with their pasturelands: Ramuth in Gilaad (a city of refuge for those who accidentally killed someone), Mahanaim,

39 Hashbun, and Yazar, four towns. 

40 So in all, twelve towns were allotted to the clan of Marari.

41 The total number of towns and pasturelands within Yasharalym territory given to the Lauym came to forty-eight. 

42 Every one of these towns had pasturelands surrounding it.

43 So 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH gave to Yashar'AL all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. 

44 And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH gave them rest on every side, just as he had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could stand against them, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH  helped them conquer all their enemies. 

45 Not a single one of all the good promises 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had given to the family of Yashar'AL was left unfulfilled; everything 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had spoken about, happened the way He said it.
