Dabarym (Deuteronomy) — 10

A New Copy of the Commandments

“At that time 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH said to me, ‘Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones. Also make a wooden Ark a sacred chest to store them in. Come up to me on the mountain,

and I will write on the tablets the same words that were on the ones you smashed. Then place the tablets in the Ark.’

“So I made an Ark of acacia wood and cut two stone tablets like the first two. Then I went up the mountain with the tablets in my hand.

Once again 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH wrote the Ten Commandments on the tablets and gave them to me. They were the same words 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH had spoken to you from the heart of the fire on the day you were assembled at the foot of the mountain.

Then I turned and came down the mountain and placed the tablets in the Ark of the Covenant, which I had made, just as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH commanded me. And the tablets are still there in the Ark.”

Then the people of Yashar'AL set out from the wells of the people of Yaakan and traveled to Musarah, where Aarun died and was buried. His son Alaazar ministered as high Kuhan in his place.

Then they journeyed to Gudgudah, and from there to Yutbathah, a land with many brooks and streams.

At that time 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH set apart the tribe of Lauy to carry the Ark of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH’s Covenant, and to stand before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH as His ministers, and to pronounce Barakah in the Name of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH, These are their duties to this day.

That is why the Lauym have no share of property or possession of land among the other Yasharalym tribes. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH himself is their special possession, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH told them.

“As for me, I stayed on the mountain in 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH’s presence for forty days and nights, as I had done the first time. And once again 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH listened to my pleas and agreed not to destroy you.

Then 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH Dabar to me, ‘Get up and resume the journey, and lead the people to the land I swore to give to their ancestors, so they may take possession of it.’

A Call to Love and Obedience

“And now, Yashar'AL, what does 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, require of you? 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH requires only that you fear 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, and live in a way that pleases Him, and love Him and serve Him with all your heart and soul.

And you must always obey the commandments of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

“Look, the highest Shamaym and the Arath and everything in it all belong to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH

Yet 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH chose your ancestors as the objects of his Ahaba (love). And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today.

Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn.

“For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH is the 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH of all Aluahym. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH is the great 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, the mighty and awesome 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.

For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing.

So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Mitzraym.

You must fear 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in the Name of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH alone.

For 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH alone is your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH is the only One who is worthy of your Yadah, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.

When your ancestors went down into Mitzraym, there were only seventy of them. But now 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH your 𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky!
