YAHUSHA Faces Pilate

Immediately, in the morning, the chief Kuhanym held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA and led Him away, then they delivered  Him to Pilate.
Then Pilate asked 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, “Are You the King of the Yahudym?”
𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA answered and said to him, “It is as you say.”
And the chief Kuhanym accused  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA of many things, but He answered nothing.
Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!”
But 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.

Taking the Place of Barabbas

Now at the feast Pilate was accustomed to releasing one prisoner to them, whomever they requested.
And there was one named Barabbas, who was chained with his fellow rebels; they had committed murder in the rebellion.
Then the multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them.
But Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Yahudym?”
For Pilate knew that the chief Kuhanym had handed   𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA over because of envy.
But the chief Kuhanym stirred up the crowd, so that Pilate should rather release Barabbas to them.
Pilate answered and said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Yahudym?”
So they cried out again, “Impale  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA!”
Then Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA done?”
But they cried out all the more, “Impale Him!”
So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, after he had scourged Him, to be impaled.

The Soldiers Mock YAHUSHA

Then the soldiers led  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA  away into the hall called Praaturium, and they called together the whole garrison.
And they clothed  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA‘s head,
And began to salute   𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, “Hail, King of the Yahudym!”
Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on Him; and bowing the knee, they worshiped  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA.
And when they had mocked  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, they took the purple off Him, and they put  His own clothes on Him, and led Him out to be impaled.
Then they compelled a certain man, Simun a Cyranian, the father of Alaxandar and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear the execution stake of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA.
And they brought Him to the place Gulgutha, which is translated, Place of a Skull.
Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA did not take it.
And when they impaled  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, they divided His garment by casting lots for them to determine what every man should take.
Now it was the third hour, and they impaled 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA.
And the inscription of His accusation was written above:
THE KING OF THE YAHUDYM.
With 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA they also impaled two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left.
So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was numbered with the transgressors.”
And those who passed by blasphemed  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, wagging their heads and saying, “Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,
Save Yourself, and come down from the execution Stake!”
Likewise the chief Kuhanym also, mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, “He saved others; but He cannot save Himself.
Let Ha'Mashyach, the King of Yashar'AL, descend now from the execution Stake, that we may see and believe. Even those who were impaled with  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA taunted Him.
Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
And at the ninth hour  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA  cried out with a loud voice, saying,  “ALy, ALy, Lamah Zabachthani?”  which is translated, “My  𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, My  𐤀𐤋𐤅𐤄_ALUAH, why have You forsaken Me?”
Some of those who stood by, when they heard that, said, “Look, He is calling for AliYahu!”
Then someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and offered it to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA to drink, saying, “Let Him alone; let us see if AliYahu will come to take Him down.”
And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last breath.
Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
So when the centurion, who stood opposite 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH!”
There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Maryam Magdalyn, Maryam the mother of Ya'aqub the younger and of Ya'asaf, and Saluma.
They had been followers of  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA and had cared for Him while He was in Galily. Many other women who had come with  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA to Yahushalam were also there.

YAHUSHA Buried in Ya'asaf’s Tomb

Now when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Shabbat,
Ya'asaf of Arimathaa took a risk and went to Pilate and asked for  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA’s body. (Ya'asaf was an honored member of the high council, and he was waiting for the Kingdom of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄_YAHUAH to come.)
Pilate could not believe that  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was already dead, so he called for the Roman officer and asked if he had died yet.
The officer confirmed that  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was dead, so Pilate told Ya'asaf he could have the body.
Ya'asaf bought a long sheet of linen cloth. Then Ya'asaf took  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA’s body down from the impaled Stake, and Ya'asaf wrapped  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA‘s body in the cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had been carved out of the rock. Then Ya'asaf rolled a stone in front of the entrance.
Maryam Magdalana and Maryam the mother of Ya'asaf saw where the body of  𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤏_YAHUSHA was laid.
